An energy saving type solenoid valve structure and a gas meter having an energy saving type solenoid valve structure are disclosed. The present invention comprises: a first coil unit receiving a current from an outside; a second coil unit installed in a line with a first coil unit receiving current from the outside; a driving core unit to open and close a gas valve installed inside the first coil unit and the second coil unit; a first magnet installed in one end of the driving core unit; and a second magnet installed in an other end of the driving core unit. According to the present invention, power required to drive the solenoid valve controlling blockage and resuming of a gas supply in the gas member is minimized in order to significantly reduce power consumption of the gas meter.
