Safety device for a spray boom

The spray boom has a section (9) pivotally connected to a section (10) by an articulation unit (11). A safety device rotates the section (9) with respect to the section (10) in case of collision with obstacles. A roller (18) moves a hooking point of an energy accumulator on the section (9) between two different positions with respect to the section (9) during pivoting of the section (9) around the articulation unit. An independent claim is also included for an agricultural sprayer comprising a spray boom.
