<p>An method for transmitting information according to a target encoding rate is provided according to the embodiments of the present invention, which includes: obtaining basic information bits and at least one increment information bit from information encoded by a base station (BS) according to a target encoding rate; and sequentially transmitting the basic information bits and the at least one increment information bit to a mobile station (MS) within a determined time interval, in which the target encoding rate is an encoding rate used by the BS when the MS is capable of correctly decoding the information transmitted by the BS. A BS and an MS are further provided according to the embodiments of the present invention, thereby saving electric quantity of the MS.</p> |
