<p>The invention provides an elevator which solves the problems that energy-saving effect information cannot be displayed on a display device in an elevator cab and/or at an entrance to the elevator cab and energy-saving effects cannot be shown to passengers. The elevator includes a cab; a balance weight; a traction machine; an elevator control unit switching between usual operation and energy-saving operation achieved through separation of a counterweight; an electric power meter which measures the obtained amount of electric power by all power consumption by a plurality of loads including the traction machine; a recording unit which records the amount of electric power and time information, records a plurality of time periods divided according to the time information and reflects the average amount of electric power of the amount of electric power reduction obtained by energy-saving operation according to each time period; a calculating unit which conducts comparison operation of data on the average amount of electric power in a time sequence and data on the demanding amount of electric power according to variations in each time period; and a display unit which displays, according to the comparison result, the energy-saving effect information on the average amount of electric power obtained through energy-saving operation, and is arranged at a display portion in the cab and an entrance on each floor.</p> |
