<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that improves convenience of automatic color mode determination.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 (image processing apparatus) can automatically determine a color mode. A document reading unit 2 reads a document as scan image data 95. A color determination adjustment control unit 81 draws print data of job data 92 to create print image data 93. Color threshold settings 91 store a threshold based on information concerning color pixels of the scan image data 95. Color mode instruction information 94 stores instructions as to which of color output and monochrome output is to be determined in determination of a color mode. The color determination adjustment control unit 81 detects the color pixels, and determines the color mode with the use of the color threshold settings 91. The color determination adjustment control unit 81 further adjusts the threshold of the color threshold settings 91 on the basis of the determination of the color mode, so that the determination of the color mode can be determined to be the one based on the color mode instruction information 94.</p> |
