The present invention relates to a novel dehydrin gene derived from a polar microorganism and a dehydrin peptide coded thereby. In addition, the present invention relates to a composition for increasing stress resistance and a composition for increasing fermentation activity, which comprise the gene and the dehydrin peptide as active ingredients. According to the present invention, the dehydrin peptide and a polynuleotide for coding the same can be usefully used in production of biodiesel by significantly increasing resistance to non-biological stress of a cell and significantly increasing an output of ethanol in yeast. |
