<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron golf club head having reduced variation in restitution coefficients within a ball hitting surface, and an iron golf club.SOLUTION: An iron golf club head comprises: a face part including a ball hitting surface (face surface) 3 and a face back surface 4 positioned on the back side of the ball hitting surface (face surface) 3; and a cavity part 2 provided on the backward side of the face back surface 4. The cavity part 2 includes a groove part 8 extending in the direction from a heel part 10h positioned at an end part on the shaft 11 side behind the ball hitting surface (face surface) 3 to a toe part 10t positioned at an end part on the side opposite to the heel part behind the ball hitting surface (face surface) 3. A thickness from the face surface 3 to a side wall on the face surface 3 side of the groove part 8 at a central part 10c positioned between the heel part 10h and toe part 10t in the direction extending from the heel part 10h to toe part 10t is greater than a thicknesses from the face surface 3 to the side wall on the face surface 3 side of the groove part 8 at the heel part 10h and toe part 10t.</p> |
