<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having high hardness and tensile strength, having good processability, and excellent in the balance of physical properties, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: [1] The rubber composition is prepared by blending a cellulose fiber in a rubber, wherein the average fiber diameter of the cellulose fiber is 1 to 200 nm, and a cellulose constituting the cellulose fiber has a carboxyl group. [2] The method for manufacturing the rubber composition of [1] includes: a step (1) of mixing a rubber latex with a water dispersion of a cellulose fiber, and thereafter removing at least a part of water to thereby obtain a cellulose fiber/rubber composite; and a step (2) of mixing the obtained composite with a rubber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
