<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded body having high transparency, high strength/high elastic modulus and provide a modified cellulose fiber providing the molded body. <P>SOLUTION: The modified cellulose fiber comprises a repeating unit having at least one aryl group at the sixth position of glucose in the molecule, wherein hydrogen atoms on an aromatic ring in the aryl group may be substituted with an alkyl group, an aralkyl group or a hetero atom-containing group, and can be obtained by introducing an aldehyde group or a carboxy group by oxidation treatment of methylol at the sixth C position and reacting with an aryl group-containing compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
