The present invention relates to a coupling device and coupling system for connecting two components of a mechanical assembly for workpiece machining, in particular for sheet metal machining. The coupling device for connecting two components of the mechanical assembly for workpiece machining, in particular for sheet metal machining has a coupling receiving portion configured to one of the two components and a coupling projection configured to the other of the two components, and the coupling projection is fitted to the coupling receiving portion. A coupling element can be switched by means of a switching means into a coupling state, in which the two components are fixed to each other through the coupling element. A locking means may be switched to a locked state, in which the locking means can fix the coupling element switched into the coupling state to prevent detachment from the coupling state. The locking means has a lock element movable into a locked position configured to a locked state of the locking means. The lock element of the locking means is provided with a position detecting means, by means of which whether the locking element has been moved into the lock position may be determined. |
