<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tread capable of improving low fuel consumption of the rubber composition containing isoprene rubber and further providing good abrasion resistance and breaking elongation, and to provide a pneumatic tire having a tread manufactured by using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a rubber composition for a tread containing a rubber component, a carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 80 to 250 m/g, sulfur and a compound represented by the formula (I), and having the content of isoprene rubber of 35 to 95 mass% and the content of a high cis-butadiene rubber having the cis content of 90 mass% or more of 5 to 65 mass% in 100 mass% of the rubber component, and the content of the carbon black of 20 to 70 pts.mass and the content of the sulfur of 0.5 to 1.6 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, and the content of a compound represented by the formula (I) of 0.1 to 20 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the carbon black.</p> |
