The application concerns an RSSI detector for determining a received signal strength indication of a received radio signal. The RSSI detector includes a transistor 203 configured to operate in a non-linear mode to output second order components of the received signal, which second order components include a DC component and an AC component. The components output by the transistor are passed through a filter 205 which attenuates the AC component. A received signal strength indication is determined based on the filtered signal 305. This arrangement permits low current operation. |
