A polymer comprising repeating units of formula (1), wherein R1 is C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl; R2 is C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl; R3 is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl; R4 is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl; R5 and R6, at each occurrence, are each independently halogen, C1-C6 alkyl, or C3-C8 cycloalkyl; and x and y, at each occurrence, are each independently 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4; wherein the polymer further comprises: (i) repeating units derived from one or more monomers having the structure HO-A1-Y1-A2-OH wherein each of A1 and A2 comprise a monocyclic divalent arylene group, and Y1 is a bridging group having one or more atoms; (ii) repeating units derived from one or more monomers having the structure wherein each Rh is independently a halogen atom, a C1-C10 hydrocarbyl, or a halogen substituted C1-C10 hydrocarbyl, and n is 0 to 4; or (iii) one or more polyester repeating units having the structurewherein D comprises one or more alkyl containing C6-C20 aromatic group(s), or one or more C6-C20 aromatic group(s), and T comprises a C6-C20 aromatic group; wherein the repeating units of (i), (ii), and (iii) are different from the repeating units of formula (1).
