The present invention relates to a contact-type coupler for power line communication. The contact-type coupler for power line communication comprises: a lower coupler (10) which has a mounting groove portion (11) in which a power line (60) is mounted on the upper surface thereof and a blade is coupled to protrude from the mounting groove portion (11); an upper coupler (20) which is coupled to the lower coupler (10) and has a pressing unit which allows the blade (40) to penetrate through the sheath of the power line (60) and to be in contact with an inner wire (61) by pressurizing the power line (60), mounted on the mounting groove portion (11), in the direction of the mounting groove portion (11) when being combined with the lower coupler (10) on the bottom surface; and a coupling means (30) which firmly couples the upper portion coupler (20) to the lower portion coupler (10). The present invention is capable of simply and easily carrying out an electrical connection operation between the power line and a power line communication modem, even provides shorter time required for the operation, and secures work stability without a risk of electric shock.
