<p>A rich hierarchical data format such as XML may be difficult to convert into a tabular structure for display or further processing. XML contains several inherent types of information that are not directly convertible to tables, for example, the hierarchy, order, and type of each element in an XML file may be difficult to convert to tables in certain circumstances.
