a body including a side portion and a face; a passage in the body; a rubbing member disposed in the face of the drill bit configured to control a depth of cut for the drill bit, wherein the rubbing member comprises a thermally-responsive material in thermal communication with a fluid flow contained in the passage, the thermally-responsive material configured to control a position of the rubbing member with respect to the face; and a control valve operated in response to a parameter of interest to control the fluid flow through the passage to control the temperature of the thermally-responsive material. |
