FIELD: physics, atomic power.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering and can be used in making sources for medical purposes. Ionising radiation sources in the form of cobalt workpieces with diameter of 1 mm and length of 1 mm, placed in an open storage bin in advance, are transferred in portions by a separator through a loading unit into a capsule. The lower part of the loading unit of the capsule, when loading the capsule, is dropped below the upper part of the capsule and the number of ionising radiation sources transported in portions and their mass is determined by the dimensions and the number of grooves of the separator. A device for assembling ionising radiation sources based a cobalt-60 radionuclide includes an open storage bin with ionising radiation sources, a device for transferring portions of ionising radiation sources into a capsule and a capsule loading unit. The device for transferring portions of ionising radiation sources into the capsule is in the form of a separator connected to a stepper motor, wherein the separator is provided with grooves for transferring ionising radiation sources from the open storage bin into a capsule loading unit.EFFECT: simple design and easier loading of ionising radiation sources into a capsule.6 cl, 2 dwg |
