FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: method of pyrometallurgical processing of the nickel containing sulphide material with use of the flux composition containing calcium compounds is suggested. At that the specified flux composition during processing creates slug with Fe/CaO ratio from about 0.5 to about 5.0 by weight, and SiO/Fe ratio at least 0.2 by weight. The flux composition creates slug of calcium-ferrite base. The initial material is nickel ore, concentrate, matte, slug or their combination. The pyrometallurgical process using this method is melting, blowdown in the converter or affinage.EFFECT: production of stable slug during processing resulting in reduction of the valuable metal losses.9 cl, 6 dwg, 9 tbl |
