The present invention relates to a cover tacking jig for manufacturing an exhaust pipe and, more specifically, to a cover tacking jig for manufacturing an exhaust pipe, wherein a cover composed of a metallic film sheet for covering the insulating material of an exhaust pipe can be fixed conveniently and can be tacked without a welding defect such as combustion, discoloration, carburetion and deformation. The cover tacking jig for manufacturing an exhaust pipe comprises: a base member; a fore-end fixing part formed at the front side of the base member to fix the fore-end part of the exhaust pipe; a rear end fixing part formed at the rear side of the base member to fix the rear end part of the exhaust pipe; a fixing block at one side formed at one side of the base member to move in a widthwise direction, including an accommodation groove for accommodating part of a cover at one side on the other side surface, and having the grounding electrode of a spot welding device connected thereto; a fixing block at the other side formed at the other side of the base member to move in a widthwise direction, including an accommodation groove for accommodating part of a cover at the other side on one side surface, and having the grounding electrode of the spot welding device connected thereto; and a moving member for closely attaching and fixing the cover at one side and the cover at the other side to the insulating material by moving the fixing block at one side and the fixing block at the other side inward.
