FIELD: physics, computer engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to storage of user-related data, while enabling an application server to send service requests to said users in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS). The method of storing data in an IMS includes selecting (i) a first user and a second user who are not aliases; analysing (ii) a first and a second data set associated with the first and second users, which identify common data elements in each of the first and second data sets; wherein the first and second data sets are used by a first application server in the IMS to satisfy service requests on behalf of the first and second users; creating (iii) a data structure containing a single instance of the identified common data elements; storing (iv) the data structure in a home subscriber server (HSS) in the IMS.EFFECT: reduced amount of data relating to non-alias users in a data set, which eliminate redundant data elements.18 cl, 3 dwg |
