<p>An embodiment of the present invention relates to an automatic sub-module search method used by a direct digital controller. The method provided by the present invention can be used to efficiently search for and register I/O modules which are the sub-modules of a direct digital controller (or a master). According to the present invention, the method searching for the multiple sub-modules connected to the direct digital controller in a multi-distribution manner includes: a step in which the direct digital controller transmits a device scan command to the sub-modules; a step in which the direct digital controller determines whether the received device scan responses are normal or damaged when the direct digital controller receives the device scan responses from the sub-modules; a step in which the direct digital controller stores the data of the sub-modules included in the normal device scan responses and allocates a unique address to each of the normal device scan responses at the same time when the received device scan responses are normal; and a step in which the direct digital controller increases a data packet error count, corrects device scan query conditions until the normal device scan responses are received, and executes a device search query.</p> |
