<p>The tube (10) has a quartz cover (11) filled with rare gas e.g. xenon, and two electrodes (12) permitting to generate a plasma inside the cover. An annular clearance of reduced size is formed around each electrode inside the cover, so that a portion of the electrodes contacts with the cover when the electrodes are hot, in order to transfer heat to the cover. An annular upset (19) is formed on outer surface of the tube near the portion. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a flash tube manufacturing method (B) utilization of a flash tube for decontaminating (C) utilization of a flash tube for polymerizing a resin.</p> |
