The present disclosure describes a system for notifying a user of a mobile device. The system comprises a distance sensor to measure a distance from the system to an object and an orientation sensor associated with the distance sensor to measure an orientation of the distance sensor and to measure a direction of movement of the system. The system further comprises a processor to determine based on the distance, based on the orientation and based on the direction of movement that the system is about to cross a threshold distance from the object. The system also comprises a notification system to generate a notification based on the determination of the processor. |
