PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin bottle having a body shape which is hardly deformed by pressure reduction in a container at the time of cooling after heating and filling.SOLUTION: A synthetic resin bottle comprises: a bottom 1; a body 2 extending upward from an outer periphery of a grounding edge 5 of the bottom 1; and a mouth 3 provided in the upper part of the body 2 and forming a discharge port. The body 2 comprises: a lower body 10 provided continuously to the bottom 1 and having pressure reduction absorption panels 16 recessed at a plurality of locations in a circumferential direction; a waist 11 provided continuously to a top end of the lower body 10 and forming a surface constricted inwardly so as to reduce a container cross sectional area that is perpendicular to a shaft direction connecting the bottom 1 and the mouth 3; and an upper body 12 whose lower end is provided continuously to the waist 11 and top end is continuous to the mouth 3. A cross sectional shape perpendicular to a shaft direction of the waist 11 is a substantially polygonal shape in which corners 22 are formed by side parts comprising a plurality of sides 21. |
