<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting a relation between an air pressure and a leak by considering applied voltage conditions different in accordance with temperature or humidity, and for performing control which is more suitable for an environment in which the image forming apparatus is installed.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a transfer roller 5 the resistance value of which varies in accordance with temperature and humidity; a temperature/humidity sensor 18 for measuring temperature or humidity in a place where the image forming apparatus is installed; a memory 19 for storing a relation between the temperature or humidity and a voltage to be applied to the transfer roller 5; and a CPU 20 for, on the basis of the information of temperature or humidity from the temperature/humidity sensor 18, grasping the value of a first voltage to be applied to the transfer roller 5 stored in the memory 19, and for, when a second voltage applied to the transfer roller 5 is less than the first voltage value as a result of grasping and comparing the value of the second voltage with the first voltage, instructing the application of a voltage lower than the first voltage value to the transfer roller 5.</p> |
