PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that has versatility applicable for discrimination of a various kinds of objects and enables suppression of reduction in discrimination velocity and reduction in discrimination accuracy.SOLUTION: An object discrimination device discriminating a kind of an object by use of an image includes: a storage unit that has each amount of feature of a plurality of kinds of objects of a discrimination object registered; a detection unit that detects an object from an input image; an amount-of-feature extraction unit that extracts an amount of feature of the object detected by the detection unit from the image; and a discrimination unit that evaluates a degree of similarity between the amount of feature extracted by the amount-of-feature extraction unit and each amount of feature of the plurality of objects registered in the storage unit to thereby discriminate the kind of the detected object. The amount-of-feature extraction unit is configured to be capable of extracting a plurality of amounts of features from the image, and the discrimination unit is configured to be capable of changing the number of the amounts of feature to be used for discrimination processing and combination of the amount of feature thereto.
