PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device capable of preventing reduction of visibility due to an external light reflection.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent device includes: plural pixels each of which has an organic layer including an organic electroluminescent layer and a second electrode formed in this order over a first electrode having light reflectivity, and emits any of two or more wavelengths different from each other; and a black matrix layer which is formed at the output side of the second electrode and has first openings for each pixel. The black matrix layer includes an inclined plane inside the first opening, and the angle of the inclined plane is preset according to the wavelength emitted from the pixel.
