A storage device comprising: a plurality of flash memory devices, each of which has a plurality of flash memory chips, each chip having a plurality of physical blocks, which are data erase units, and has a flash controller which provides a logical storage region associated with one or more physical blocks of the plurality of physical blocks; and a RAID controller which manages a plurality of virtual drives, each including part of the logical storage regions provided by the plurality of flash memory devices, and controls the plurality of virtual drives as RAID groups. |
