The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a light source apparatus wherein luminance unevenness due to warping of a reflection sheet is eliminated; and a display apparatus that is provided with the light source apparatus. This light source apparatus houses, in a housing section, a light guide plate (11), which has inputted from a side surface thereof, light emitted from a light source, and which outputs the light from one main surface, and a reflection sheet (12), which is laminated on the other main surface of the light guide plate (11), said housing section having a rear plate (13) that is provided with reinforcing grooves. The light source apparatus is provided with supporting members (spacers (13f)), which are disposed in the grooves, and which partially support the reflection sheet (12) at opening positions of the grooves. |
