The disclosed battery is provided with a gasket, an external terminal, a constraining member, and an external packaging member wherein electrode bodies and leads are housed. The external packaging member is provided with a terminal connecting portion, which is 0.3 mm in thickness or thinner. The terminal connecting portion is provided with a through-hole having a ramp portion. The gasket has a hollow axial portion inserted into the ramp portion. The external terminal is provided with a terminal axis portion, and this terminal axis portion contains a reduced diameter portion. The constraining member constrains at least a portion of the reduced diameter portion of the terminal axis portion across the reduced diameter portion of the ramp portion and the axial portion of the gasket. The inclination angle of the ramp portion is greater than the inclination angle of the terminal axis portion.
