PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus and an engine system capable of increasing a flow volume of exhaust gas merging with fresh air.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation apparatus comprises: a fresh air orifice portion continuous to a fresh air inlet and configured to contract a flow of fresh air; a cylindrical inner cylinder continuous to the fresh air orifice portion, and having an opening end on an opposite side to the fresh air orifice portion; an exhaust gas inlet configured to receive a flow of exhaust gas; a surrounding portion continuous to the exhaust gas inlet, surrounding the inner cylinder, and defining a circumferential channel for the exhaust gas extending along an outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder; and a cylindrical outlet continuous to the surrounding portion, and defining a merger passage configured to receive a flow of the fresh air flowing out of the opening end of the inner cylinder and the flow of the exhaust gas flowing out of the circumferential channel, an annular opening extending along the opening end of the inner cylinder and communicating the circumferential channel with the merger passage being defined between the opening end of the inner cylinder and the surrounding portion. |
