1. An image forming apparatus, comprising:
an output unit configured to convert image information into an image signal and output the image signal with reference to a timing signal; an image forming unit configured to form an image on an image bearing member based on the image signal output from the output unit; a transmission unit configured to transmit a length of the image corresponding to a length of an output period of the image signal; a feeding unit configured to feed a recording material; an acquiring unit configured to acquire a length of the recording material fed by the feeding unit in a conveyance direction of the recording material; and a control unit configured to control a time interval at which the timing signal is output to the output unit based on the length of the image transmitted by the transmission unit and the length of the recording material acquired by the acquiring unit.
