This beverage manufacturing apparatus (1) employs a liquid and a powder to manufacture a beverage, and is provided with: a stirring unit (500) that includes a stirring paddle (550) for stirring the liquid and the powder, and a stirring tank (510) for accommodating the stirring paddle (550); a stirring paddle drive part (140) for driving rotation of the stirring paddle (550); and a controller for controlling the stirring paddle drive part (140). The stirring paddle (550) is provided with a plurality of paddle parts (220) having a center axis of rotation, and arranged encircling the center axis of rotation. The controller controls the stirring paddle drive part (140) in such a way as to switch between forward rotation and reverse rotation of the stirring paddle.
