PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen formation catalyst which decomposes water into hydrogen and oxygen.SOLUTION: There is provided a hydrogen formation catalyst by having molybdenum disulfide supported and fixed on nanocarbons by: homogeneously dispersing at least one compound, selected from compounds which belong to each of molybdenum compounds, metal carbide, and sulfur compounds, for example, molybdenum disulfide, and nanocarbons as a substrate by ultrasonication in an alcohol using an ultrasonic generator; and evaporating the alcohol. In addition, because there are a wide range of the substrate, fixing means, and the compounds, the catalyst can be applied widely. |
