PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make analysis processing efficient when a failure occurs.SOLUTION: A monitor device is configured to monitor a communication system including at least one communication device, and the monitor device comprises: a storage unit; a reception unit; and an identification unit. A change in a first virtual system determined by a combination of communication routes between an arrangement of a plurality of virtual machines arranged in at least one communication device and the plurality of virtual machines is configured to generate a second virtual system. The storage unit is configured to store system information representing the arrangement and communication route of the virtual machines used in the second virtual system, and the reception unit is configured to receive failure information notifying occurrence of a failure. If a prescribed failure to be detected is not detected when the failure information is transmitted from any of the virtual machines in the second virtual system represented by the system information, the identification unit is configured to identify that the failure information is generated by the virtual machines in the first virtual system.
