PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel monoclonal antibodies that specifically bind to KAAG1.SOLUTION: In some embodiments, the antibody of the invention blocks biological activity of KAAG1, and useful in pharmaceutical compositions for treating cancers, more specifically, cancers with increased expression of KAAG1 on the cell surface, such as ovarian, renal, lung, colorectal, breast, brain and prostate cancer as well as melanoma. The invention also relates to cells expressing the monoclonal antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof such as humanized and chimeric antibodies. The invention further discloses methods for detecting and treating cancer using the antibody and a fragment thereof. |
