PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sell plural commodities at single selling opportunity.SOLUTION: A commodity storage device having a commodity storage column 12 for storing commodities in one row on a commodity storage passage 18, comprises: a first gate 50 disposed so as to move forward and backward freely to a forefront area of a front side of a commodity positioned on a forefront part on the commodity storage passage 18; a second gate 60 disposed so as to move forward and backward freely to the forefront area on a rear side of the first gate 50; a gate operation mechanism for holding the first gate 50 and second gate 60 in a state that they are moved forward in the forefront area, during a standby state, and allowing the first gate 50 and second gate 60 to retreat from the forefront area when an operation command is issued; and counting means for counting the number of commodities taken out from the commodity storage passage 18 by counting the number that movement of at least one of the first gate 50 and second gate 60 is changed from retreat movement to progress movement. |
