PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique contributing to making compact a clutch switching device and a transmission equipped with the same. ! SOLUTION: A clutch switching device 10 switching a clutch CL by an axial movement of a slide 14 to which the rotation of a motor 18 is transmitted via a third gear mechanism 16 is configured. At a time of the axial movement of the slider 14, a gear 14c of the slider 14 and a gear 16c of the third gear mechanism 16 sliding relatively to each other are configured as helical gears, respectively. Each helical gear is inclined so that a thrust force generated in response to the engagement of the gear 14c with the gear 16c acts in an opposite direction to a slide resistance force generated between the gear 14c and the gear 16c. This can reduce an output required of the motor 18 for the axial movement of the slider 14, so that the motor 18 can be downsized. As a result, the device 10 can be made compact. !
