PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image forming part from malfunctioning until a shift register is initialized due to a fact that data stored in the shift register is indefinite. ! SOLUTION: When a watch dog timer 22 detects the run-away of a first CPU 27, an initialization control part 40 performs a control (1) and a control (2). The control (1) is control for prohibiting an operation, in which a printer engine part 30 forms an image, by not supplying power to a head part 33 and a drive voltage generation part 34. The control (2) is control for inputting initialization data D3 to a shift register 35 and switching data stored in the shift register 35 from indefinite data to the initialization data. !
