PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make communication processing be efficient.SOLUTION: A relay device comprises a reception unit, storage unit, discard unit, creation unit, and transmission unit. The reception unit receives a plurality of division packets which are created by dividing a transmission packet and include the same identifier as the transmission packet. The storage unit stores the division packets. The discard unit, when loss of at least one of the division packets is detected, discards a division packet having the same identifier as the packet whose loss is detected. When a beginning packet, which is a division packet including the beginning of data in the transmission packet, is not discarded by the discard unit, the creation unit creates a discard request including an identifier of the transmission packet and information for requesting discard of a division packet including the identifier. The transmission unit transmits the discard request to a relay destination of the beginning packet. |
