PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbilical cord tissue cryopreservation method that is excellent in the number of living cells collected after unfreezing.SOLUTION: A cryopreservation method according to this invention is a method for cryopreservation of umbilical cord tissue, comprising an immersion step of immersing umbilical cord tissue comprising living cells in a cryopreservation solution comprising a cryoprotective agent and glucose, and a freezing step of freezing the umbilical cord tissue in a state where it is immersed in the cryopreservation solution.
