This blower is equipped with: a centrifugal multi-blade fan (12) that has many blades (121) around a rotational axis (A1), sucks in air from the inner side in the radial direction, and blows out the air toward the outer side in the radial direction; and a casing (13) that houses the centrifugal multi-blade fan (12). The relationship between the diameter (d1) of a section of the centrifugal multi-blade fan (12) where the blades (121) are disposed and the height (h1) of the blades (121) in the direction of the rotational axis (A1) satisfies d1/h1≥5, a suction port (131) for sucking in air is formed in a section of the casing (13) located on one end in the axial direction of the centrifugal multi-blade fan (12), a section of the casing (13) located radially outward of the centrifugal multi-blade fan (12) forms an air flow passage (132) for the air blown out of the centrifugal multi-blade fan (12) to flow therein, and the casing (13) has a inclined section (135) such that the air flow passage (132) expands toward one end side in the axial direction and/or toward the other end side in the axial direction as the air flow passage extends toward the outer side in the radial direction. |
