The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing the handover of a terminal in a wireless communication system supporting a dual connectivity. A method for supporting the handover of a master base station in the wireless communication system supporting the dual connectivity for a slave base station and the master base station of the terminal according to the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting a handover request message to a target slave base station when the handover of the slave base station for the terminal is determined; transmitting a handover trigger request message including identification information about the target slave base station to a source slave base station when a handover check message is received from the target slave base station; and transmitting a handover success indicator to the source slave base station when a resource release message is received from the target slave base station.
