METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING FLUORINE-CONTAINING WASTE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing fluorine in fluorine-containing waste water at sufficiently low costs.SOLUTION: A method of treating fluorine-containing waste water in an embodiment includes a step of bringing fluorine-containing waste water into contact with a calcium agent in a reaction vessel to react fluorine in the fluorine-containing waste water with the calcium agent so as to form calcium fluoride in the fluorine-containing waste water and a step of removing the calcium fluoride from the fluorine-containing waste water by solid/liquid separation in a solid/liquid separator arranged in the downstream of the reaction vessel to obtain a primary treatment water of the fluorine-containing waste water and a slurry containing the calcium fluoride. The method includes additionally a step of electrodialyzing the primary treatment water in an electrodialyzer arranged in the downstream of the solid/liquid separator to concentrate and remove fluoride ion contained in the primary treatment water so as to obtain final treatment water of the fluorine-containing waste water and a step of washing the solid/liquid separator with the primary treatment water.
