PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for prevention of scale generation on a steel material capable of preventing generation of scales on the surface of a steel material with small work load.SOLUTION: A method for preventing generation of scales on a steel material includes: a first board placing process of placing a plurality of the first boards 20 on the upper face of the steel material 10 of the upper side when charging the steel material 10 in a heating furnace so that a part of the adjacent first boards 20 overlap and the whole upper face of the material 10 is covered; a second board placing process of further placing at least one of the second board 30 on the upper side of the first board 20 after the first process so that the overlapping parts 22 in which at least the first boards 20 overlap are covered; and a heating process of heating the steel material 10 in the heating furnace after the second board placing process. |
