PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary input device which is capable of suppressing cost and improves click feelings.SOLUTION: The rotary input device includes an annular first magnetic body 11 with which a plurality of outward protrusions 11a protruding outside in a radial direction are disposed in a circumferential direction; an annular second magnetic body 21 with which a plurality of inward protrusions 21a formed to oppose the outward protrusions 11a in the first magnetic body 11 are disposed in a circumferential direction; and a rotary knob 20 which relatively rotates the first magnetic body 11 and the second magnetic body 21. The first magnetic body 11 includes: a magnet 12 in which opposite faces 12a and 12b opposing each other are arranged vertically and which are magnetized to upper and lower two poles including the opposite faces 12a and 12b; a pair of yokes 13 and 14 vertically holding the opposite faces 12a and 12b of the magnet 12 therebetween; and outward protrusions 11a (13a) and 11a (14a) formed in the pair of yokes 13 and 14. |
