a method for use in a user equipment of triggering network-assisted interference cancellation and suppression, NAICS, comprising: measuring interference generated by neighboring cells (e. g., by using the DM-RS as estimate of the PDSCH channel); identifying the neighboring cells that generate interference; and reporting (InterferenceStatus_ NAICS), to the serving base station, information of the screened neighboring cells that generate interference, such that the base station of the cell determines content of assisted information for cancelling and suppressing interference and an object to receive the assisted information.
