PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking detection sensor configured to easily detect risk of breaking of a member for a structure or the structure, before breaking occurs, when the member for the structure is mounted on various structures, such as a building, with a simple configuration at a low cost.SOLUTION: A breaking detection sensor includes: a first member 10; and a second member 20 which is arranged in parallel with the first member 10, with one end fixed or restrained to the first member 10, and the other end not fixed or restrained to the first member 10, and has breaking property of breaking during elastic deformation or plastic deformation of the first member 10. The first and second members 10, 20 are round or square bars, for example. The first member 10 is a hollow bar, for example. The second member 20 includes a notch 24 formed between the one end and the other end, as a stress concentration part. The second member 20 is formed of a brittle material. |
