PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stably extracting an extract containing a functional component estrogen like active substance extracted from Pueraria lobata vine, and a composition of lifestyle disease improving agent and a food composition containing the extract.SOLUTION: Pueraria lobata vine is efficiently processed and extracted, and the extract contains a large amount of functional component having female hormone (estrogen) like action and furthermore antioxidant capacity, and there is provided a composition of lifestyle disease improving agent or a food composition using the extract. The extract contains isoflavonoid like puerarin, daidzein, and genistein or its glycoside, and malonylisoflavone glycoside, such as malonyldaidzin. The extract has preventive and curative effect, such as body weight gain inhibition, eating inhibition, inhibition of elevation in blood pressure, and inhibition of hypertension cholesterolemia. |
