[Problem] To provide: a cell which is capable of improving power generation performance and suppressing gas leakage from the inside; a cell stack device; a module; and a module-containing device. [Solution] A cell which comprises: a solid electrolyte layer (4) that is formed of a ZrO2 sintered body; an interconnector layer (8) that contains a perovskite composite oxide containing La and has end portions which cover the end portions of the solid electrolyte layer (4) so as to form an annular body together with the solid electrolyte layer (4); an outer electrode layer (6) that is arranged outside the solid electrolyte layer (4); and an inner electrode layer (3) that is arranged inside the solid electrolyte layer (4). The solid electrolyte layer (4) has a first portion which is superposed on the end portions of the interconnector layer (8) and a second portion which is sandwiched between the outer electrode layer (6) and the inner electrode layer (3) and has an average thickness of 15 μm or less. The thickness of the first portion is larger than the thickness of the second portion.
